Amentet (transliteration: ỉmn.t-t, meaning: "West") was the third nome of Lower Egypt and the westernmost nome of the Nile Delta. The nome's capital city since the New Kingdom was Momemphis. The previous capital was a certain Hut-Ihyt (ḥwt-ỉḥy.t), which has not been discovered yet.[1]
