Wooden models of boats are commonly found in ancient Egyptian tombs. This is particularly true from the tomb of Djehutynakht, a governor who was buried with over fifty model boats in his tomb at the site of Deir el-Bersha. Model boats represent troop/freight transport, boats for hunting/fishing, or for carrying a representation of a mummy.
