Contra-Apollonopolis was an ancient Egyptian town on the east bank of the Nile in Upper Egypt. It was governed under Wetjes-Hor, the second nome of Upper Egypt. The ancient site is located at the modern town of Redesiya. Directly on the opposite side of the Nile lies the nome's capital city Apollonopolis Magna, hence the town's Greek name which translates to "opposite Apollonopolis".
