Divine Adoratrice of Amun (transliteration: dwꜣt-nṯr-n-ỉmn), or simply Divine Adoratrice, was an ancient Egyptian religious occupational title. Perhaps initially created as an honorary title for priestesses from the priesthood of the ancient Egyptian deity Amun, the title became synonymous to the office of the God's Wife of Amun (the female equivalent of the High Priest of Amun) at the end of the New Kingdom and throughout most of the Third Intermediate Period.

History[]

During the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses VI, the king promoted his daughter Iset to the offices of Divine Adoratrice and God's Wife of Amun. Both these titles had now become synonymous.

Sometime prior the 25th Dynasty, presumably during the reign of Osorkon II, the title of Divine Adoratrice of Amun began to be held separately by the heir apparent to the office of the God's Wife of Amun, with the latter appointing the former.
