Ibta (transliteration: ỉbt) was an ancient Egyptian Treasurer of the Fifteenth Dynasty during the Second Intermediate Period. He was probably of Canaanite origin.
Ibta is known from 3 scarab-seals bearing his name and titles. His attested titles include; "Treasurer" (ỉmy-rꜢ ḫtmt), "Royal Sealbearer" (ḫtmw-bỉty), and Sole Companion (smr-wꜤtỉ). An additional scarab-seal from a Steward of the same name may belong to this Ibta in his earlier career. Based on their stylistic features, the scarab-seals were produced during the reign of either Khyan or Yaqub-Har.[1]
