Nimaatre Kashta (transliteration: kꜢš-tꜢ, meaning: "One of the Land of Kush") is an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh of the 25th Dynasty during the Third Intermediate Period. He was of Nubian origin and ruled from Napata over the Kingdom of Kush. Kashta was the first Kushite king to have extended his rule into Upper Egypt. In doing so, he founded Egypt's 25th Dynasty.
