Khatiyre (transliteration: ḫꜤ-tï-rꜤ, meaning: "Appearing Image of Re") was an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh of the Fourteenth Dynasty during the Second Intermediate Period. He was of Canaanite origin and ruled from Avaris over the eastern Nile Delta in Lower Egypt. Khatiyre is merely known by his preserved throne name in the Turin King List (Col 8. Line 2 as per Gardiner).[2] This makes him either the third[3] or seventh[1][4] ruler of the dynasty. His reign length is recorded as 0 years, a lost amount of months and 3 days. According to Ryholt, the scribe that composed the Turin Canon probably misread the P8 hieroglyph for the similar U33, and the king's prenomen should actually be read as Khakherure.[5]
