Lycopolis (Koine Greek: Λύκωνπόλις), or Zawty in ancient Egyptian (transliteration: zꜢwty), is an ancient Egyptian city on the west bank of the Nile, located in Upper Egypt. It was the capital city of Nedjefet-Khent, the thirteenth nome of Upper Egypt. The ancient settlement is located at the modern city of Asyut (Arabic: أسيوط).
