Nebmaatre (ancient Egyptian: rꜥ-nb-mꜣꜥt, "The Lord of the Justice is Re") was an ancient Egyptian Prince of the Twentieth Dynasty during the New Kingdom. He served as High Priest of Ra in Heliopolis during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses IX.

Family[]

Nebmaatre is likely to have been a son of Ramesses IX since they are mentioned together on a door lintel in a temple at Heliopolis.[1] His mother was probably Queen Baketwerenro. He is known to have had an older brother; Prince Mentuherkhepeshef, who was Chief Commander of the Army. Their father's successor, Pharaoh Ramesses X, was possibly another brother.

Burial[]

The whereabouts of Nebmaatre's tomb and mummy remain unknown.
