Pithom or Heroöpolis (ancient Egyptian: pr-ỉtm, modern: Tell el-Maskhuta) is an Ancient Egyptian city in Lower Egypt, located west of the Nile Delta about halfway through the Wadi Tumilat. It was the provincial capital of Huyges-Iabeti, the eighth nome of Lower Egypt, which comprises the entire wadi.
