Ptolemy VI Philometor (Ancient Greek: Πτολεμαῖος Φιλομήτωρ, "Ptolemy, who Loves his Mother", 186–145 BCE), was the king of Ptolemaic Egypt from 180 to 164 BCE and 163 to 145 BCE. He was the eldest son and successor of Ptolemy V by Cleopatra I. From 170 BC, his sister-wife Cleopatra II and his younger brother Ptolemy VIII were co-rulers alongside him. Ptolemy VI was temporarily disposed from the throne by Ptolemy VIII in 164 BC, but was restored the next year.
