Taposiris Magna (modern: Abusir) is an Ancient Egyptian city in Lower Egypt, located west of the Nile Delta between the Mediterranean Sea and Lake Mareotis, just west of Alexandria. Taposiris Magna was governed under Amentet, the third nome of Lower Egypt.
